More hype.
I'd rather my eyes were pecked out my a scraggy crow than listen to this hipster rubbish.

The new album isn’t very good from what I’ve heard so far, this is actually disappointing .

I've got it but have yet to play it
I like the three songs that have been released as singles

Seen them about 3 times, and I like what I see and hear. First LP is a classic the second a bit rushed I would say, trying to cash in on the successes of the first LP ( See "give them enough rope") the 3rd LP Ive only played a couple of times and its great so far.
I dont really know if any new band can be called punk, but they seem to have the songs, lyrics and attitude..thats all I need.

I've only played the new album once so far - it's good but it often takes a few listens before their songs hit home
Actually quite often it takes hearing them live which is the group's natural environment
That said, this is great way to open an album....

Think Mr. Talbot’s output is similar to Mike Skinner (The Streets) in the way that he often walks the fine line between being really great and really crap

Listening to this now, it makes me think Mr. Talbot was just belting out whatever came to mind on the spot like he’d forgotten the lyrics to his own tracks.

New Idles track reminds me of California-era Mr. Bungle, it’s alright!

IDLES release CRAWLER on 12th November 2021 via Partisan Records,
CRAWLER is the UK group’s fourth album nd the follow-up to their first No. 1, 2020’s Ultra Mono.
The 14-track project was recorded at the famed Real World Studios in Bath during the COVID-19 pandemic and co-produced by Kenny Beats (Vince Staples, Slowthai, Freddie Gibbs) and IDLES guitarist Mark Bowen

Impressed by CRAWLER
Whole different beast to ULTRA MONO
IDLES say it's the best thing they've recorded - they would say that I suppose, but...
Def feels more mature, adventurous, and a more fully realised sound
Some moments really hit hard and pack the Idles punch we know and love
Great they are still developing and evolving
