Don't know about that
It was great - energy and vitality
Which dancing was more to your taste?

I don't know if I'danced'during my punk days.
Seemed it was just a series of voluntary spasms to music.
I'm much better dancer now than I was a teenager that's for sure.

Good to hear you are now a dancer
No one's going to suck the joy of RJ in full-on dance mode for this punk

I was always a dancer. Unlike Jobson I'm a better dancer. Don't you think that it's embarrassing that a man his age attempts to mimic that shit?

Is he still doing it?
I hadn't noticed on recent clips, not that I've watched many.

Heard it but don't rate it (I'm not a fan of punk covers at the best of times).
Seems like a pointless exercise (or a cash cow).
Anyone else had a listen?

...i heard their cover of Young Savage which was pretty good, but yeah, a band releasing an album of covers is a rather jaded concept unless you go for obscure songs or put a twist on the whole idea, like Die Toten Hosen did getting the original vocalists involved.

Thanks for highlighting the Skids covers album dm999 First I'd heard of it ...i heard their cover of Young Savage which was pretty good, but yeah, a band releasing an album of covers is a rather jaded concept unless you go for obscure songs or put a twist on the whole idea, like Die Toten Hosen did getting the original vocalists involved. Yes. I tend to agree. Here's Young Savage which is a faithful rendition but which adds nothing to the Ultravox original The best covers take the tune into new territory (e.g. Slits with Grapevine, or Devo with Satisfaction etc) The Skids - Young SavageHere's the whole album - they've chosen some great tunes... www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lwW__YlNGtEZB-UE5wLGuve6rBJHG8Oy8Here, their cover of Complete Control, again adds nothing to the original and is really nowhere near as good either.... The Skids - Complete Control

I've played it twice now and it's a lot of fun Whilst the covers do nothing much original with the songs it's an excellent selection and all performed with passion Totally dispensible but it's a keeper I'm digging it and say "yes" I particularly like Young Savage and Rock On The Skids - Rock OnThe tunes got played in the late ’70s in “The Kinema Ballroom” – Dunfermiline's main concert venue – with Richard Jobson and his friends either in the audience or on stage
TRACK LISTING... Young Savage 03:13 Complete Control 03:30 Gary Gilmore's Eyes 02:17 Heart Of The City 02:48 The Light Pours Out Of Me 04:33 Rock On 03:35 Violence 02:58 35mm Dreams 03:11 Submission 03:45 New York Groove 02:34 I Wanna Be Your Dog 03:13 The Saints Are Coming 02:59 Into The Valley 03:25 Christmas In Fife 04:03
