OOoh, thanks Stu
New Skids
Recorded in 2022, Destination Dusseldorf, the brand new studio album from Scotland's legendary Skids, will be released in March 2023 on an array of Vinyl, CD and DL.
Collaborating with incredible artists like Youth, Hugh Cornwall and Martin Metcalfe - all fans of the band. Creativity born from friendship and respect lies at the heart of this new album which we think will be one of our finest recordings.
People change but the heart and the energy that drives the band remains stronger than ever before as we look forward to a new chapter in the bands ongoing history.
Launch shows are organised and will be announced shortly.

Saw them supporting From the Jam….The skids were absolutely brilliant right on top form, FTJ were a bit meh to be honest.
Really liked the white rock theatre in Hastings though.

The Skids were my highlight of Rockaway Beach It was only a few months since I last saw them but still brilliant - on both occasions I was dancing from start to finish Interestingly saw Hugh Cornwell straight after - he was fine but could take a leave out of Richard Jobson's book in terms of engaging with the audience and putting some energy and passion into his show Richard Jobson gives it his all and is lucky to have a comedian's timing aligned to some very funny between song banter I'd go see them again tomorrow if I could

Yes Jobson was great, made jokes about “ I know you have come here to listen to the old hits but we are going to play a couple of new songs sorry” which made me smile and a Koke and apology about “ the worst punk song ever “ then players TV stars, that got the crowd shouting Albert Tatlock.
Will see them again soon hopefully.

^^^^^^ Just listened to this , excellent - lots of stuff I didn't know including that he knew Sid and shared a flat with Steve Severin for five years. A certain well-known musical personality gets the thumbs down as does a certain journo. Some nice words about Mensi and the Upstarts too.

...yes, i really enjoyed it too, for the same reasons. Very honest candid chat about what was going in London 'Punk/Post Punk Central' and beyond.

The Southampton date clashes with The Damned. Not great programming.
