Two Aussie bands made some of those lists. I suppose Sherbet's 'Howzat' might be considered glam. I just thought they were a pop band. But Coloured Balls' 'Human Being'? Top band and song, but never glam

...yes, Sherbert were a 'Soft rock' Pop group, no Glam influences in their music. Coloured Balls were the 'house band' for the Melbourne Sharpies movement I guess this is the nearest they came to making a Glam record...

Never heard of Coloured Balls, at least I don't think so
And I never knew Sherbert were from Australia
'Heavy Metal Kids' has definitely got a glam vibe - thanks Andy
The Sharpie movement eh?

There have been documentaries made and compilations released, relating to the notorious Sharpies of Melbourne. It has been said that Coloured Balls split up due to the violence the Sharpies brought to their gigs.

Sharpies were also in Sydney and Brisbane, but Melbourne was the biggest scene. The Brisbane band Shandy built themsleves around the sharpie style
Like Andy said, Coloured Balls ultimately disowned sharpie-dom due to the violence of the scene.
Check out the band on the cover of the album Ball Power that had the song 'Human Being' and then the band doing the same song on the TV show GTK. A bit of a different look! Guitarist Lobby Loyde was, however, always a punk at heart.
The band is probably known by many for the tune GOD (guitar over drive OR guitar over dose)
In an interview they once said 'The first bit is about a year long and the second bit is about four years long'. I do not like over-long songs, but GOD is great. In fact, I find it quite funny. Just when you think they have reached the end, the band takes the tune to a new level

^^ Shame they didn't stick to that style. Saw them supporting Rush 81 or 82, just straight ahead heavy rock.

...that's really hard to find on 7" - here is another rare Canuck Glam Cruncher!! A goodie, thanks Andy, however, and as PU reports, in with the stomp there’s clear Quo and Creedence influences. Easy to see how they mutated into heavier territory
