...i have that 'Banger' in my Junkshop Glam Box, young Nigey... the A-side is a little more ambitious, in terms of lyrical content Yes. Another goodie - as you probably know it's on the Boobs: The Junkshop Glam Discotheque comp

I think Hector had some relationship to Frenzy - does that ring any bells Andy?
Frenzy's tune from 1976 seems to be a harbinger of punk rock... Frenzy - Poser

Another day another classic Do you know Billy Hamon? He's primarily an actor you might recognise... Check out the posters on Billy Hamon's bedroom wardrobe doors in a Z Cars episode.... Billy was himself an aspiring Glam superstar albeit quite late in the day.
Butch Things came out in 1978 on Bronze Records A touch of Bryan Ferry, a touch of Alvin Stardust, the piano from A Glass of Champagne - a perfect junkshop classic...

...needless to say, Womblin' Glam Timmy has all manner of Billy Hamon recordings. A very busy actor in the 70s He turned up in an episode of Softly Softly Task Force we watched just recently.

...yeah, when it comes to Stack Heels and Bricklayers in Bacofoil Bellbottoms, Timmy is the (Glam) "Metal Guru" Many Junkshop Glam compilations, e.g All The Young Droogs, he's been involved in, in some way.
There is a 'certain project' being researched at the moment, can't say too much as it is still in the planning stages.

By the by, have you heard Billy's Bombed Singles - both a 45 rpm single and an LP? It's not even on YouTube so I, sadly, have not had the pleasure Perhaps Glam Timmy could sort out a YouTube upload?
Fortunately the Butch Things b-side is on YouTube. Not up to Butch Things though, but still pretty good...
Billy Hamon - Amusements Arcade
Another bit of interesting intel about Butch Things/Amusement Arcade, it was produced by Andy Mackay and features at least 3 out of 4 of Dire Straits. It was their first session job.
He also put out a single as BogdanAccording to one blogger... Bogdan? Bogdan who? BILLY HAMON of BUTCH THINGS infamy -that’s who! Not sure why he used this pseudonym, but Oh Eddie is truly the son of Butch Things It's next level stuff... Bogdan - Oh Eddie (Baby Blues) (1980)

Just when you thought Billy Hamon's career couldn't get any weirder, it transpires he's written a novel, though not published so far as I can gauge.
This promo video from Billy's YouTube channel is pretty out there...
More intel for you, Billy Hamon also played a record producer in the Minder episode 'A Star Is Gorn' featuring that other forgotten pop icon/actor Mike Holoway of Flintlock fame playing Zack Zolar
Pressurised pop star Zack Zolar fakes his own death and Terry tries to protect him from his ruthless manager and producer, both of whom seek to exploit him by releasing his 'posthumous' last hit. The recording somehow ends up in Arthur's lock-up and, inevitably, he too wants to get in on the act.
Both can be seen in this clip...
