Sad to see Holland go out but they didn't really deserve to win.
I left it at 2-0 then walked past a boozer 15 minutes later and saw it was 2-2. Couldn't believe it.

Oh dear Eng-ur-lund still in the 3rd tier of World Football and they can't scratch their balls to the fact that they're aren't the titans of the game that they think they are.
Kane-who the English press- have been banging on as a quality striker fluffs the 'Kings' first duds as they couldn't hit a barn door with a five foot baw.

For any football team it's about recognising the quality and what they're capable of.
This changes obviously from tournament to tournament
There's a difference between working hard and entitlement. 🤔
The England team weren't good enough in what was a pretty mediocre game from what we saw in the pub this afternoon.
Kane's penalty was a particularly bad, classless howler for a so called 'top' player.
Can't understand either why Rashford and Grealish are given secondary roles, bizarre team selection.
Still, 'it's' not coming 'home' and it probably never will.

I thought both penalties were very dodgy.
One or two other dives aswell. Funny that Lee Dixon was demanding free-kicks for every vague bit of contact when he's usually one of these people who thinks the game has become soft.
I'd love to see a Croatia-Morocco final. But I think it's likely to be France v Argentina.

We caught a couple of matches in the pub but we weren't there to watch them.
Generally, we boycotted for obvious reasons but I still kept tabs on most of the games through the news.
The media expectation is the main problem. How can they complain about the manager and the players when they don't meet these unrealistic dreams? They just throw them under the bus.
Mind you Stuart Pearce mouthing off that they'll be bringing the WC home doesn't help
I will always praise merit but presently England are in the third tier of World Football. The sooner they accept that, the sooner they can get better.

"third tier is nonsense", reality wise we are one of the consistent top 8 sides in the world, and going on the draw and the odd bit of fortune can be SF or finalists. We get to the QF though by beating those we should beat and consistently come off worse when we play one of the favourites even though, as like last night, we have a technically better team. For me that has been down to Southgate and his constant defensive attitude of keeping a low defensive line and trying to never lose possession along with an inability to change things around in play.
He is an FA man through and through though so I suspect he will stay in place, England though won't be consistent SF or finalists though until they play an attacking high pressure game, we need not fear others, let them fear the England team, as squad wise there are only 1 or 2 better.
On a separate note, I bet Kane doesn't get the shit that Saka did for a penalty miss. Wonder why.
