Hopefully a lot of the other seventies punk bands will follow suit and call it a day. Fat late sixties and seventy year olds wheezing and lumbering around the stage is becoming pretty pathetic.

The Subs are a working band and from what I can gather it just seems to be getting harder for them to put in that amount of gigs. Charlie deserves his retirement.

You make a good point tehn again the Stones manage it without the wheezing and lumbering Yeah, Jagger still seems insanely fit for his age His Dad was a PE teacher who lived to 93 and convinced the young Michael of the value of regular exercise I think Charlie Harper is actually the same age as Mick Jagger, maybe one year younger JUST CHECKED... Charlie - 25 May 1944 (age 78) Mick - 26 July 1943 (age 79) Charlie's not doing too bad either though...
