Hmmm, Doll By Doll on the Thursday and Crass/Poison girls on the Friday would have been a good weekend build up. £1-30 for the two nights.

Had to Google Supercharge, nothing to do with punk or new wave. A local Liverpool brass rock band who later had a hit in Australia. Lots of renowned venues used to have this type of house band, sometimes a last minute replacement if the booked artist had cancelled.
We had one in Nottingham called Gaffa, a couple of times we'd stand there in the sparse audience before demanding our money back and splitting to the pub.

The name Supercharge jumped out of the page at me, as I remembered the name. So many good bands were playing at Eric's in 1979 ... and there was also Supercharge
This was their big Oz hit in 1977. Alright in its way, I suppose

The Creation would probably have been the most interesting whereas Procul Harum plus Time Box who should have been bigger would have been best value for money. Syn would later become Yes, so that one best avoided.

I would have chosen either John Lee Hooker for original blues or John Mayall for some of the best British blues inspired by the originals. Jeff Beck Group might have been good as well

The Creation for me
Though An Evening of Scented Rubbish (An Antique Freak In) sounds intriguing

I'll plead ignorance. I don't know The Creation. To save me wasting too much time looking them up, can you steer towards some of their best material?

Should of been up there with the Who and the Kinks imo. Too many line up changes stopped them getting traction, Ronnie Wood led them for a while. Now revered by lots of big names, Alan McGee named his record label after them.
