Three episodes in and Hellbound is very good indeed. The only relation it has to Squid Game is that they're both South Korean and HB is a completely different beast. Directed by the creator of Train To Busan which may whet your appetite to give it a go. I'm on to episode two and still enjoying it As always PU ahead of the curve... First there was Squid Game. Now there’s Hellbound. Another South Korean fantasy horror series from Netflix has become an overnight global phenomenon, with the latter toppling the former as the most-watched TV show on the streaming platform. The series centres on a team of demons, who hunt down sinners who have been previously visited by a celestial being who has informed the victim of their date and time of death.www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2021/nov/23/south-korean-horror-hellbound-takes-over-squid-game-as-most-popular-netflix-series-globally

I've completed Hellbound Pretty good - though maybe sagged a bit towards the end The ending sets up lots of possibilities for the inevitable second season I had to read this article to be reminded who the woman was at the very end of the final episode... Hellbound Ending Explained
Hellbound keeps the twists coming until the very end. Here's what happens in the final episode of the Netflix serieswww.denofgeek.com/tv/hellbound-ending-explained/

Just a touch of disappointment on the wrapping up. Episodes 1 to 3 were excellent, 4 to 6 not so hot. Not much explained, obviously there is a second series on the way, where will it go? The rebirth of Ms Park, left me scratching my head.
This could end up like the series Lost, where the giant unseen thing in the trees teased you into episode after episode until you thought you were being had and switched it off.

You could well be right PU Here's hoping not

I started watching an Israeli series called Hit and Run - got about four episodes in and gave up
The pacing was off and, from an interesting premise, it seemed to be veering into pretty cliched territory
I'm now underway with a series called Dead To Me which is much more like it
It's pulling off the remarkable trick of being sad, moving, tense and funny

Godzilla, King of the Monsters
I'm a sucker for the Japanese kaiju nonsense. This is OK, one dimensional humans with a flimsy eco catastrophe story line but the monsters CGI is fantastic. Moved on from the seventies and a bloke in a rubber suit. 6/10

Women In Rock
Netflix has a series of Wolfgang Blud late seventies ealy eighties music docs at the moment. Slightly confusing as the concentration on women pioneers, Siouxsie, Slits and The Raincoats who get their message across yet the only all female band featured are Girlschool who just 'wanna rock'.
Worth it though for the fabulous live footage of the Banshees and Nina Hagen.

Hummingbird
Surprisingly decent revenge thriller with Jason Statham as traumatised ex soldier who finds himself down and out on the vice and drug ridden streets of London. Agata Buzek turns in a sublime performance as a conflicted Christian aid worker.
7/10

Unforgivable [Sandra Bullock]
Engaging enough but with a quite lame ending.

Don't Look Up Leonardo Di Caprio as a neurotic astronomer and Jennifer Lawrence his rebel protege discover a comet on its way to wipe out life on earth. However, government and media are more concerned with spin and approval ratings than the actual apocalypse. Clever satire on the vacuousness of the modern world. 7/10
