Drive (2011)
Missed this when it first aired. Must have thought it was another of those Transporter, Furious type things, all high revs and wheel spins. Actually, cars are not a major part of the movie at all. Ryan Gosling as the mysterious loner who tries to help out an ex con neighbour but it all goes to shit. Real slow burner with great turns from Albert Brooks, Ron Pearlman and Bryan Cranston. 8/10

White Noise
I was looking forward to this, its premise seemed very interesting, I was thinking it was in the Don't Look Up vein. Sadly, I only managed twenty minutes of it, discordant babble dialogue. Probably appeal to a supposedly more intelligent American public but to us here in Europe, it just reinforces the view that the US is a profoundly stupid country. No rating.

Big Bug Farcical French comedy on the perils of AI. 2045 and the machines have had enough of humanity. Dysfunctional family and their neighbours are trapped in a high tech dwelling, can the friendly maid android and super intelligent vacuum cleaner save the flesh creatures from the creeping closer chaos?
Divided the critics but with AI on the real world agenda, I found it both funny and thought provoking. Subtitled 8/10

Mixed By Erry
Italian comedy with dark overtones about cassette tape bootlegging brothers in the eighties. Anybody who has ever done a mix tape will find this a wonderful piece of nostalgic whimsy. 9/10

Netflix’s A Sinister Sect: Colonia Dignidad is a Chilean and German documentary series with much to teach us. But warning, it includes details of sexual abuse of minors, coercion of women, domestic violence, and torture that are deeply disturbing. latinamedia.co/colonia-dignidad/

The new Wham! doc is ridiculously entertaining and quite touching too I wanted to like it but the early years just reminded me of what a pain they both were. Switched off after twenty minutes.

Interesting. It prompted me to re-evaluate them. There were lots of interesting nuggets for me but then I always thought they were fun despite some of the songs being annoying (e.g. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go)
