...to be a little more specific. Onstage, packing up the gear, it's Stewart Copeland and a dude called Zecca Esquibel who played Keyboards in Cherry Vanilla's band, which included Sting.
The irony of all this is The Police were viewed with alot of contempt by the Roxy regulars inner circle, but ended up on the front cover of a Top 20 compilation album way before their own career got anywhere.

Maybe I'm going off topic but I'm sure Sting played with Cherry Vanilla at Nottingham Sandpiper mid 78. Fallout was released well before that, so was he just drafted in? Rubbish gig from what I can recall, just dreadful rnb covers. If Ms Vanilla hadn't been wearing a ful length cat suit with Bite Me on the front, I would have left much earlier.

Sting and the rest of The Police were initially 'guns for hire' as they were so skint. Sting and his young family lived in Stewart Copeland's front room on first arriving in London. I think they backed up Wayne County at one point too. P.S. it wasn't 'Bite Me' on her Cat suit, Guv

Back on topic... this is the new S.A.T.D. i guess the other guys are all French as that is where Wayne has lived for decades. There's a new album out on CD.

...i have only heard one or two songs from it so far, so too early to say really. The album is called 'Il Tradimento Silenzioso' (The Silent Betrayal) so ...make your own mind up, who that title might be directed at. In the meantime, the 3 other original members of the 'classic' line up maybe about to unleash their own 'Slaughter' so if both bands ever end up ever playing a big Punk Festival on the same night, expect a right old punch up!
