...from what i have heard, it's an acoustic album of Ballads. Interesting idea Andy - wonder how it's going down? Sounds fine but doesn't inspire me to dive in

Anyone recommend this collaborative album? It looks like a match made in heaven but I'm a bit suspicious as it didn't see the light of day until five years after Holton's death. Plus it's on the Receiver label who have put out some poor quality sounding discs. There is one track on YouTube, South of the River, decent guitar blues but I would like to know more before diving in.

This is like a pre punk, mid 70s number in thrall to America
I like it though

^^ I'm probably not making sense but I like that song but I wish it was not by them. It's more bar room swagger Quireboys / Dogs D'Amour territory and not Wythenshawe bootboy glam punk. Of all the gigs I saw back in the 77 punk days, theirs after the Clash were the most adrenalin fuelled nights of chaos I ever witnessed/took part in. Apart from Hell In New York, Bite Back bears little resemblance to the original Barrett/Muffet incarnation.

I like Bite Back, it's an underrated album... but yes, that song sounds like they were listening to Springsteen alot when they wrote it.

Always liked them but don't recall passing up the opportunity Growing up in Wythenshawe must make you hanker for an imagined life of glamour stateside but not sure New Jersey was all that different

The thirty to fifty quid mark is about the going rate. This seller thinks it's worth a bit more:

Bit of a firestorm on social media about this, Muffet involved in the conversation. Upshot being, the band don't get a penny from this reissue as they sold the rights to it years ago.
