They really mastered dynamics, ie, light and shade as in this example, with JPJ riffin hard on the bass That's lovely Zeo Not really paid it much heed before. Thanks.

IV and Physical Graffiti are superb IMHO. Battle of Evermore is just sublime. Both great records. I'm not the biggest fan of that type of singing but the overall sound in both those albums are great. Battle of Evermore is epic.

I love 'em. Everything a heavy rock band should be. Ridiculous, bombastic, staggeringly arrogant , wonderful musicians and completely up their own arse. Plus, the utter legend of Peter Grant as a manager.

I might enjoy the odd bit of Led Zep despite all of the things you say you like, but if I actively think about it, then they can just fuck off and die and the world will be a better place

Early Zep was seriously hardcore. I'd say Communication Breakdown is quite close to punk. Page obviously felt some kind of affinity to punk hence the visits to the Roxy to see the Damned.

Keef is a great riffing machine though and very good at what he does. (he can pretty much only "throw shapes" these days with those hands) The Stone's best ever guitarist was Mick Taylor as some great boots from 1973 attest.

Yeah, he saw the Damned again recently, I saw some photos, he's also a huge Killing Joke fan and close friend of Jaz for no doubt occult filled reasons.

Wouldn't even wish death on Morrissey.
