I might enjoy the odd bit of Led Zep despite all of the things you say you like, but if I actively think about it, then they can just fuck off and die and the world will be a better place Bloody hell, they're just a rock 'n' roll band. Wouldn't even wish death on Morrissey. I also wondered what they'd done to inspire such ire jsm - Robert Plant comes over as nice enough too, especially these days

The transition from The Yardbirds to Zeppelin, is something i was unaware of as a young'un here is a song you all know, but perhaps not as you know it... Relf is a strong contender for the title of 'crappiest singer in an influential group'

Ridiculous, bombastic, staggeringly arrogant ... up their own arse. Plus, the utter legend of Peter Grant as a manager [who used to stick labels on groupies like: gives good head etc, so the band members wouldn't need to bother talking to them first].
Like their music if you want to, but I cannot understand why you would praise their 'rock n roll lifestyle'.
It's like punk never happened. What next? A Motley Crue appreciation thread?

They treated people abysmally but you could argue they reaped their karma. The various deaths , accidents etc

I like to refer to them as The Mighty All Conquering Led Zeppelin or 3 and half hours of lunacy, an homage to the live show. I love listening to the bootlegs all over the internet. More so than any other band they taught me that music didn't always have to be aggressive or angry or heavy or fast or screamed and shouted all of the time. Every few years my local radio station will have Led Zeppelin A to Z day and play all of their songs in alphabetical order. LZ is one of the reasons I was born too late. LZ music will be playing at my wake and a copy of the St Valentine's Day Massacre will be in my jacket pocket buried with me. Between now and then I have plenty of time to think of more stupid LZ related things that will help family and friends say bon voyage to me when the time comes.

Very badly behaved but they were also a symptom of that era. Sadly quite typical in those days

Does KSHE ever play The Easybeats 'St Louis'? No. Now over the years they have had some eclectic Sunday programming so stuff like this could get played. I just listened Good Times which I didn’t no wasn’t a Jimmy Barnes song from The Lost Boys movie??

Fuckin Barnsey. The Psychotic Turnbuckles should have destroyed him decades ago

This is very interesting
I'd be interested to know how they know Page is still a member of the Crowleyite OTO though
