Just reading Hooky's New Order book and while he alternatively praises and damns Sumner, there's some real nasty misogyny towards Gillian's contributions and inclusion in the band. Hook just can't seem to help make an arse of himself in that book.😄 He tries to come across as a laddish hard man when in fact he was and is a bit of a sap. Morris seems to be the wisest of the lot of them I've yet to read his NO book as even though I have it, I find their story a bit of a chore. |

I'd definitely find the beginning of the second one interesting if it's-as I suspect- is about the remaining members of Joy Division post Ian Curtis. I found Hook's version of these events very blasé. |

Anyone read Sumner's book? Is it worth reading? I read it a couple of years back. Well worth a read, it isn't as bitchy as Hook's New Order book. It's a lot more low key but essentially it tells the same story without the 'excesses'. |
