Just watching the Porridge film (BBC2 ) and there is a '999' sticker on the bookshelf in Fletcher and Godber's cell. It was filmed in Jan 1979 on location in Chelmsford Prison.

Great spot wardance I remember getting excited when you'd hear a punk song in the background of an episode of Coronation Street - on the radio in the cornershop or whatever

Porridge (the full length film) getting screened on TV has become the annual ritual at Christmas and, each time it does, someone on the bands Facebook page always comments on spotting the bands logo... bless them! But... actually there are ALOT more 999 logos to spot in this film!!

Remember cringing when I saw it back in the day. Was it Phil Daniels that played her manager?

Yeah, Phil Daniels. Curiously Breaking Glass is one of those late seventies early eighties movies that is very hard to find on DVD/ VHS and costs an arm and a leg if you do. And whereas Quadrophenia, Scum and even That Summer get an occasional late night TV airing, BG never. Maybe due to the NF scenes and the non judicious use of the N word.

The N word is probably the reason - I seem to recall Long Good Friday has not be shown for many a year probably for the same reason Quadrophenia which I rewatched recently has a scene where the Mods go to Brixton (I think) to try to score some blues which is a bit uncomfortable to watch now Few DVDs of Breaking Glass on eBay for c£13 which is not too bad - some with another film called Stormy Monday which features Sting and Sean Bean. I have no recollection of that one Anyone? This scene makes it look quite interesting...

Looks good for anyone who doesn't already have all the songs .
Looks like cherry red have found another pay day .
They say its the first in a series of planned career anthologies by some of the Punk scene’s biggest names .
