Max Merritt and the Meteors (1976) youtu.be/IAN2esx4PWEA cracker if you like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the like. The best Max Merrit and the Meteors tune I know is 'I Want So Much To Know You' from 1966. A garage classic. Unfortunately, it is not on youtube.
Max died on 24 September this year. Born in NZ, he made his career in Australia, but later moved to LA, where he died. RIP Max
Here is a young Max up front with the guitar doing a version of 'Heatwave'. I thought Max always did the vocals, but not in this one
