Fully fit, still got all my hair. The only problem I have is a couple of fingers which were broken a few years back which get a wee bit painful when it's cold.
In my early 50's so I'm quite young compared to the other old fogeys on here.😉

My memory is in definite decline. (53)
Actually considering the life I've had I fully expect to develop dementia.

Well I played football to a semi decent standard until I was 40 the Cricket until 47 as a wicket keeper, then it hit me and had to have a total hip replacement on my right hip...that went wrong and so I had to have the same operation again in less than a year !! and joy of joys I then got a infection in my leg at the bottom of the stem of the metal bit in my leg, they couldnt clear that up sio in I went again for 3 total hip replacements in 3 years 2 months. I have played cricket since but gave up because I kept losing the flight of the ball in the field. Then last Xmas I got a call to see the Hematologists after 1 of my regular blood tests ( every 6 months since me 3rd THR) when he calmly said that CCL was satisfactory and to carry on with the 6 monthly blood tests, what is CCL I asked...The stark but calm answer came back BLOOD CANCER what it stands for Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia he said. Well as you can imagine I was pretty shocked about this and asked how long have I had that for, well ever since they took blood tests to find the infection in my leg about 7 years ago I was told. So I am on a watch and wait type 6 monthly blood tests and hoping it doent change to much. My GP says that 1000s odf people have some know some dont so I am not to worry about it, but there is sweet FA I can do about it until and hopefully it wont need attention. But other than my hips, eyes and Blood I like getting old

I can understand why you'd be concerned, but I would be reassured by your GP's words. Like you say, worrying's not going to change anything.

The average time from diagnosis to death with CLL is 23 years. Many people who have it die of old age first. It is a completely different disease from the acute form, which is a dangerous cancer that can lead to a terminal prognosis.

^^^Hope you stay healthy, loz. My Dad has had prostate cancer for the last 8 years, but only a low blood count, and is still healthy and active now well into his 80's.

Today I have:
* Wrecked microwave oven after turning it on thinking I'd already put something in it. * Spent half an hour looking for keys.
My recollection of long past events is still very very extensive. That could be my probable autism though.

My memory’s always been crap and it’s not getting any better. The times I’ve watched Match of the Day and can’t remember what matches I’ve seen, let alone the scores. The alcohol doesn’t help I suppose.

Same here, the only positive is enjoying re watching films and rereading books as I rarely remember them.

She's watched Jaws 5 times and still can't remember what happens at the end😂

Sounds a bit alarming I forget a lot but can usually remember what I've watched or read in the recent past - or indeed back in the day My latest ailment is a cracked rib. Tripped over a root going downhill in some woods and landed really heavily on my left hand side. Agony to take deep breaths and a variety of other every day activities. I did this a few decades ago stagediving and seem to remember it took about a month to get better
