Two things I am currently suffering with that never would have been a feature of life when I was a young turk...
Chilblains - every winter now my fingers get sore and swollen. Flipping annoying and quite painful sometimes. And they don't look great either
Frozen Shoulder - had this for a few months now. I think it relates to an old football injury. Painful and means I have far less mobility in my shoulder
I'm late 50s - what's it gonna be like in another 10 years?
All minor stuff I know but when I see my teenage kids staying out all night and bouncing back the next day it's a depressing sign of increasing decrepitude
What about you?
Share you tales of physical deterioration and minor ailments

Got a bout of sciatica in my right leg a fortnight ago, hobbled about like an old man. I usually walk two miles minimum a day but could barely manage a hundred yards. Pharmacist advised Ibuprofen which made me feel sick. Used deep heat and Ralgex which worked but went on a date in an over warm restaurant and the smell of the lotions was very noticeable, she didn't mention it though.

Sciatica is horrible
Glad the date went okay despite the whiff of deep heat and ralgex (there's a comedy sketch in there)

Hi Guys, age 54 and gallstones are my old man issues, I didnt even know what they were till I got some teehee. Oh yeh, the left shoulder sometimes just gives up for a day or two. Hi to everyone, im not much of a poster on forums so dont expect much, but im a hangover from the talkpunk days and glad to see someone keeping something going. Might need it in these lockdown days. Listening to everything that Joe Strummer did with the Mescaleros currently...well for months /years. Its perfect summer music for the times. Gram

How long did you hold out before accepting that you needed a hearing aid Zeo?
Is it one of those super discreet ones that usually go unnoticed?
Sorry to hear about the prostate - are you getting any treatment?

I see people wearing hearing aids all the time, many of them quite young, in fact most of them. And they seem to be talking to themselves quite a lot. Is it premature dementia?
