I can see where this is going, in the future they'll probably gulag you for what they think you think about something even if you haven't said or written anything at all.
Seriously we are turning into East Germany. By stealth you can achieve anything it seems.

That's kind of ironic cos tories are bigots. Anything to distract attention from 'partygate' I suppose...

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61088414Granted he's not been cancelled but we now know what the only acceptable view is. I see Le Tissier got kicked off Sky and lost his Southampton role cos he suggested that the authorities lie about everything and because he doesn't have the approved opinion of covid.

He was on in Glasgow last month I've got a recording of it. Was he on form? He's not that funny anymore . It's mainly just bitter rants at how absolutely awful everything is. He still injects racism aimed at everyone including his own creed.

Seems to me that you can't (in Scotland) have an opinion about Covid which is outside of this'support the restrictions'narrative. To the degree that a left wing alternative to the SNP's baloney about Covid is a 'betrayal" of Independence. Fuck that. As a socialist it's plain to see that the SNP narrative is an 'anti Tory' as a lowest common denominator one. Hardly radical. The Scottish left seem unable and/or unwilling to challenge the SNP hegemony which will eventually undermine the case for independence. They should again look to Ireland again and see how Sinn Fein supplanted both the SDLP and Fianna Fail. But they won't.

Exactly Most people just raise a quizical eyebrow about Matt Le Tissier's Covid conspiracy theories Seriously claiming that the media have lied about the massacres in Ukraine is a whole other level of conspiracy and was a brave/reckless/stupid thing to put out into the public domain He can express his opinions, which I guess are sincere, but his employers, Southampton FC, have every right to think he's not someone they want to retain in an ambassadorial role As it turned out he wasn't sacked but chose to resign. No surprise as there was a massive backlash from the club's fans who previously reverred him. MLT himself has now admitted his tweet questioning the truth over the events in Bucha was "the wrong thing to do"

Yeah, he seems to be a bit of a conspiracy theorist. He goes on about Biden's son and his "laptop" and other US right wing Conspiracies. Seems to refer to this sort of tweeting as "his work". Scored more brilliant goals than anyone else I've ever seen, hope he doesn't do a David Icke. Bit paunchy for the purple tracksuit, too many custard creams.

Weird that a U.K. guy would get sucked into those far-right American conspiracy circles, most of those guys eventually come out as pro-Russia as time goes on.

It usually ends up about "elites" running the world secretly and abducting children from pizza parlours.

They weren't whining about Le Tissier when he was slagging off Corbyn in 2019.
Now he's treading on their toes and alluding to the lies over Iraq the cockroach turds are squealing like the crybabies they are.
