I don't think we're the target market
The trailer above is an improvement on the earlier one and makes me wonder if it might be worth a watch
It's obvious it's not going to be an accurate representation of the group or the era but it might have other qualities that make it interesting
We'll see
My daughter's partner has got Disney+ so she has an account I can access, so I'll be able to see it for free
My expectations are pretty low but, then again, Danny Boyle has a good track record

Perhaps, it'll be a bit more grittier like 'Lonely Boy'. If they adapted that rather than concentrate on the Pistols themselves - which has be done to death - then it might be a bit more authentic?
What I liked about Jones' book was that it was dark, it superceded the Pistols myth and it's subsequent caricatures but as you said, we'll see.

How the fuck is anyone going to take this depiction seriously if there's not even a sense of authenticity? Context is everything. How are future generations going to understand the legacy of punk(if there ever was one) if it's portrayals are self censored? Mind you, should we even be surprised at this? I'm sure it'll be an interesting watch to spot the revisionism and outright falsehoods. And to remind us how much the world has 'progressed' to serving up fake history that strictly serves present day narratives and brand priorities .
