As a grumpy 'I was there in the eighties' old man, I've gone from disliking this to having no interest at all. It means as much to me as Formula 1 car racing.

Bits I've caught have been pretty awful. The line up at Isle Of Wight looked better. Guns and Roses or Pulp? Know what I'd rather watch and it wouldn't be the ginger screacher. They always seem to have headliners at Glasto that appeal to the most boring common denominator.

Agreed. Uninspiring headliners
I saw a bit of Arctic Monkeys and was bored
I think Elton John is later today. Not much of a fan but imagine he can deliver a reasonable set

^^ Yeah, I listened in in R2. Fair play to him to giving the crowd what they wanted. Only Tiny Dancer and Your Song from his truly great (pre Croc Rock) years moved me though.

Maybe a bit different watching it PU?
He's been an ever present in my life. I'm not really a fan but do have a huge soft spot for many of his big tunes. I was emotional during most of his set. He smashed it out of the park. The songs gained heft live and the communal aspect added another dimension. Seeing all those people having the time of their lives, and Elton too, that's magic right there. Favourite moment? Are You Ready For Love with Jacob from Gabriels and the gospel choir, though Tiny Dancer ran it a close second. All great though. What a legend

Not much of a fan but imagine he can deliver a reasonable set Haven't heard it yet, but his voice has been very poor for a few decades now, hope he pulls something out the hat. He still has that Davey Johnstone as his guitarist I believe, he's been with him forever.

And Nigel Olson on drums, plus that Max fellow on additional percussion He had some kind of operation in the 80s that effected his ability to sing. I thought his singing was fine. It was a great set. Emotional viewing for our generation for whom he has been an ever present.
