Tried Ozark a long time ago, didn't work for me. I've only got tips on what not to watch at the moment: Justice League A Man Apart Dawning Rage Cardboard Gangsters

I'm surprised Ozark was not to your taste PU. I'm still engrossed.
It's the characterisation which elevates it.
Every character is credible, gets enough screen time to develope, and we get to see the world from their perspective.

The characters are believable but the situation isn’t, how Marty hasn’t committed suicide from the stress of his job while under the threat of arrest and murder is beyond me. At least in Breaking Bad they managed to convince themselves things would be different.

I think Marty believes he can escape from his predicament. I'm at the start of season two and he and the family believe within six months of the casino opening they can go and live anywhere in the world.
As I say above it's the character development that makes it a keeper (so far). Something it shares in common with Breaking Bad

Da 5 Bloods
Very timely Spike Lee movie considering how the US finds itself at this moment in time. Four middle aged black former GIs return to modern day Vietnam for closure and buried treasure. Excellent juxtaposition flashbacks and soundtrack. Willy Lindo excels as confused, embittered ex grunt.

SS-GB
A series about modern day England?🙂
This promised to be good but it's a bit of a drag and degenerates into some private dick nonsense which doesn't really have much to say.
However, it appears when the Nazi's invaded England they captured Winston Churchill, put him up against a wall and shot him. Racists killing racists, now there's a novel theme.
Not a bad cast though with Sam Riley and Jimmy Cosmo.
However, the sound is utter pish. Really muffled and inaudible.
4/10

SS GB originally aired on the Beeb a few years back, a really poor adaptation of a decent book. Riley wanders round still thinking he's playing Ian Curtis.

I've actually got bored of this now - about three episodes into the Season Two I've given up on Netflix series now - they just go on far too long. It's films, docs and old favourites for me from now on

Primal Fear
Another Richard Gere goodie.
A young alter boy is apprehended by the police after the murder of a catholic archbishop and despite being at the scene of the crime things are not what they seem.
Another good performance by Gere as the renegade lawyer but this film is most notable for Edward Nortons first screen appearance.
Good but the dialogue is contrived and it's not as near the knuckle as it could have been. However, good ending.
7/10

Tried Ozark a long time ago, didn't work for me. I've only got tips on what not to watch at the moment: Justice League A Man Apart Dawning Rage Cardboard Gangsters Add 'Another Life' to that. Turgid sci-fi for millenials who are obviously easily satisfied. The only show that plagiarized the Alien franchise so badly that it's enough to make you want to launch your telly out the window. 0/10

Bloodlines (the series not the film) Wasn’t too sure whether i’d like this.Thought it might be too “Dallas” but it kept me hooked for 3 seasons.
DescriptionFrom the creators of "Damages," "Bloodline" is a dramatic thriller that explores the demons lurking beneath the surface of a contemporary American family. The Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community, but their past contains dark secrets that they hope remain buried. Paranoia and mistrust build as lies pile up, alliances are shattered, and an unthinkable crime takes place. The tight-knit family's formerly harmonious relationship deteriorates, and good people are forced to consider doing very bad things.
