Not Netflix, but available on the Beeb's I Player at the moment is Jim White's great music/cultural doc "Searching For The Wrong Eyed Jesus". Well worth seeing if you are unaware of it. A fascinating insight into the religion and people of America's deep south. www.reverseshot.org/reviews/entry/670/searching_wrongeyed_jesus

Molly's Game
Dramatized account of Molly Bloom who ran high stakes poker games for Hollywood and the Mob. Jessica Chastain is excellent as the quick witted Bloom with Idris Elba supporting as her cynical lawyer. Razor sharp script both funny and dark. Well recommend.

The Trial of the Chicago Seven
Fact based court room drama on the incitement to riot charge outside the Democratic Convention 1968. Sacha Baron Cohen outstanding as Abbi Hoffman.
Highly recommended.

Sounds flipping wonderful Thanks PU I watched this and really enjoyed it Top tip PU Also so Run last night. Not so good but pretty slick and tense despite a few "hang on a minute" moments during the film

Yeah i thought Run was pretty good. There are alot of very average films on Netflix though.I think generally the series's are superior.Watching Designated Survivor at the moment.Thought it might be a little too "American politics"but it's a good mix of politics and action.

Presidents are always decent men in US television and films which has rarely been true in real life. Saw the first series and thought it okay, forgot to ever watch the second, will have to give it a go.

The Nail Bomber: Manhunt
Documentary on the activities and capture of David Copeland, the far right bomber who targeted black communities in London, 1999. Riveting stuff which possibly the Beeb and ITV would find too spiky. The Searchlight Magazine youth who infiltrates the BNP is a story within itself as well. Subtitles may be advised as there are police interview recordings which are not quite audible.

Yesterday
Sweet, sometimes a little too sugary, comic tale of an alternate world where The Beatles never existed except in the head of a struggling busker. He then launches a stellar career by claiming all the credit for the Mop Tops songs. Director Danny Boyle just keeps it out of being mawkish.
6/10

The Dead Don't Die
Forget the lukewarm reviews, this Jim Jarmusch Zombie outing is an absolute hoot. Middle of nowhere small towns plagued by the living dead. Alongside aging sheriff Bill Murray and woodland hermit Tom Waits, this is packed with stars, Buscemi, Danny Glover, Tilda Swinton. Iggy Pop turns up too as a coffee obsessed undead.
8/10

The Seventh Day
Exorcism horror as two priests battle the forces of darkness. Budget of what they found down the back of the sofa and a script that a fifteen year old would be embarrassed by. Guy Pearce kicks his heels around waiting for a decent movie to come along. Avoid 2/10
