Part of me thinks fuck em. See you later.
Then again without them the Prem becomes significantly diminished and everybody loses
Interestingly Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal all have US owners whose primary motivation is to get a return on their investments. It's just pure greed.

The Sunday Times broke the story and their updated article inlcudes....
Uefa had succeeded in winning the support of the European Club Association (ECA) board and the European Leagues but it emerged today that the Super League threat had been revived with the ECA chairman Andrea Agnelli, also the Juventus president, appearing to throw his hat in with the breakaway clubs led by Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Other members of the ECA board, who had agreed to the new Champions League format, and Uefa officials have attempted to contact Agnelli since Saturday evening but one source said he “has gone off the radar”.
City are believed to be the last of the six English clubs to join. The Premier League leaders, along with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham, are thought to have been reluctant to join but did so because they did not want to miss out.
Uefa insiders insist they will press ahead with the announcement for the new-look Champions League which will see clubs playing 10 group matches instead of six.
If the Super League clubs do not back down then the dispute is likely to end up in courts given that Uefa and Fifa have promised to ban any clubs and players who take part in breakaway competitions from their tournaments such as the Euros and the World Cup.

Nothing is ever enough for these psychopaths and certainly they don't care about the feelings of the supporters
I hope everyone boycotts it
Which won't be hard as European competitions are dull and the novelty wore off decades ago

Totally agree Stu
Most football supporters are much more focussed on their domestic leagues
European competitions used to be great because they were such a novelty and it was rare for most teams to be involved. Now it's only the latter stages of these competitions that have any interest at all for the average fan

I'm done with City if this goes through. I'm bored of petulant multi millionaires and their agents anyway. They can all play in front of 10,000 people and be buried away on subscription TV fuck em
Big business stole the game decades ago we just didn't want to admit it to ourselves.

100% that Stu - fuck the lot of them
They and whoever wants it can watch the same teams play each other endlessly in a parade with just money as the motivation
I will switch off completely and give my emotional and finacial support to grassroots and lower league football

All the English clubs have put announcements on their websites to say it's happening

From what I'm reading it could be a game of brinkmanship to get more cash out of UEFA for the self appointed elite clubs.
Many of these 'elite' clubs struggle to qualify for the ECL every season so they're taking their ball home the pathetic crybabies.

On the up side if these greedy bastards leave or get kicked out of the Prem, maybe Everton will get a chance to win the league again! It’s all got a bit boring watching the big six win it.I think only Blackburn and Leicester have broken the monotony.

Couldn't care less, the top flight has little meaning to me, could almost be a different game with tackling effectively banned, video decisions on everything and non stop diving. Give me lower league any day.

Give me lower league any day. Got to say I agree. Having watched BHAFC in the Champ for a few seasons it was much more fun than the Prem. Much more like how the old Division One used to be. Money still talks but to a far lesser degree VAR is a total disgrace - ruined the top flight game Champs League is one big yawn until quarters or semis
