The Kelvingrove Bandstand is an awful venue.
Interesting to see what the prices for that one will be...

Former Siouxsie & The Banshees frontwoman, Siouxsie Sioux, is headlining this year's Mouth of the Tyne Festival.
The Ivor Novello award-winning artist and record producer began her career when she met the Sex Pistols in 1970s.
Her performance at Tynemouth Priory in July will be one of her first UK shows for almost a decade.
Last year, the festival was left without a headline act when the Lighthouse Family split.
The 65-year-old, who was initially inspired by the punk movement, has a ground-breaking career of more than 40 years from her time with Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Creatures and as a solo artist.
She had announced her appearance in the North East as part of a series of comeback gigs across the UK, Europe and USA this summer, some of which sold out within days.
The Mouth of the Tyne Festival of outdoor concerts and street entertainment runs from 6-9 July.

I've been reliably informed, when this line up played here, it was a baptism of fire for The Human League. The Punks didn't dig Electro-Pop... likewise when Nico supported the Banshees, she was given a hard time by the punters.

I saw this tour in London and the same thing happened My mates and I were threatened with a kicking for having the temerity to dance to the Human League It was my first realisation that punk was moving away from open mindedness into some kind of rigid template, at least for many punters

Was guitars only, wasn't it at the time, Synths were seen, ironically, as an excuse for lack of talent. That's why so many punks were conservative at heart, the ethos was just cheap words.

I never heard the White Album properly until well after The Scream, so it's always Banshees for me. Now whenever I hear the original Beatles version I keep expecting Paul to sing 'You ain't no FUCKING dancer.'
