Fires at Tarn, Rennes and Nantres Cathedrals all within a year around Notre Dame. They couldn't bury the Bataclan shooting obviously but this is suspicious. Four ignition sites in Notre Dame tens of metres from each other.
If some other pundit than Morrissey had brought it up then it might be more seriously thought about.

I think if these fires had been caused by Islamists they'd have claimed it. Just like they tried to claim responsibility for the Las Vegas mass shooting.

There always seems to be a mythical "they" with these tings but history shows that people can't cover up anything, not even a blow job in the Oval Office with only 2 people present. I don't think they gain anything, it's probably more about suppression of the narrative. France at the moment is on a hair trigger with Islamaphobia. The shooting of the teen car driver a few weeks ago showed the polarisation of their society, established (not just social media) right wing commentators saying he deserved it ffs.

So right wing conspiracy theories suggest it's Islamic funamentalists who started the fires and the internal security service surpress the info to stop a civil war? It's not the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard however, as Stu states, they'd claim it rather than do it anonymously. There's not much point if you don't claim responsibility. That Morrissey believes it shows how far down the rabbit hole he's now gone
