Yes, not surprising. Some of his pronouncements used to work in promotion years ago but they were in defence of animal rights and against right wing politicians.
But today. Why would you try and defend Weinstein, Spacey et al? Why get involved? Surely he knows it's the kiss of death for his career.

Never liked Morrissey or his music, but I find this amusing. If he held extreme left-wing views – up to and including supporting murderous despots like Stalin and Castro – nobody would bat an eyelid, but some fairly mild statements opposing immigration and multiculturalism have led numerous commentators to behave like one's easily offended maiden aunt.

He's a bit more than "mild" Pol. He actively promotes For Britain, the far-right, anti-Islam party
I still like his music, well the older stuff, but he has become an embarrassment
Sadly for him, most of his fans are liberal and find his comments distasteful

I'm not sure For Britain truly qualifies as a far-right party, but they're certainly obsessed with Islam. The British public would never vote for a party like that in significant numbers, so they will never be more than a blip on the electoral landscape.

Explicitly and unapologetically racist = far right

Morrissey, like John Lydon has reached a point where they are deluded on their own self-importance. I call it Sychophant Damage. They crave attention and they will say anything if it gets them some media attention... positive or negative, they've reached a point where they don't care. Very sad really.

Great analysis Andy. Lydon is coming here for a spoken word show not only are the tickets expensive but it's also another £25 for a VIP meet n greet and a tenner if you want something signed.
Bit different from when I put the Subs on and Charlie gave the Sound Man a t shirt for nowt.

Bit different from when I put the Subs on and Charlie gave the Sound Man a t shirt for nowt. The last time i saw John Lydon was when PiL played the Rebellion Festival in the summer of 2018. Before they'd even played a note, he went into a carcrash rant about Jeremy Corbyn being Anti-Semetic, called him a 'C**t'... and then bellowed "I AM JEW!!" I watched and though, oh you silly Tabloid reading twat and walked out.

Morrissey - Knockabout WorldMorrissey - Morrissey - Love Is On Its Way OutI don’t find it very difficult at all to separate music and musician but I understand it’s more difficult in some ways than it is in others. I don’t take it too seriously. There’s a case for not wanting to fund bad people by not buying their music and not attending their shows which I guess is fair enough also.

I've been intrigued by the reviews, some critics are claiming there are some real classic Mozzas on there. But the two posted above are b sides at best.

His music has always been pish and he's always been a helmet. Finally, he's got the guts to be a more honest helmet now.
