Another one I need to investigate I don't really like their image that much but if you like really well written early punk you can't go wrong with the Adicts. Theres some belting songs on that album👍

Yes, they were formed by ex members of the Depraved in the late 80's. They have a punk sound but with a little bit of psychedelia thrown in(complete with Hammond organ).
I always thought they were a cut above but they were criminally overlooked to the point whereby they've largely been forgotten.
A shame.

Steel Pulse - True Democracy (1982)
One of Steel Pulse's more underrated albums
Anyone know it?

Simple Minds - Life In A Day
Let's be honest, though it was a great name, Johnny and the Self Abusers wasn't the sort of moniker that would make Top of the Pops. All change then and a great clutch of albums before the stadium rock took over and they became U2's shadow through the eighties.

Simple Minds had a great run of albums starting with Life in a Day and ending with Sparkle In The Rain where the bombast got too much

The Minds were not my cup of tea at all but they were local lads from Toryglen and good Celtic fans.

Listening to the romantic sounds of the UK's finest Power Pop band The Speedways. This was a single taken from their brand new album 'Radio Sounds'
