What's the weather like where you live?

It's cooled right down - from over 30 the last couple of days to a very comfortable 20 ish. I'm loving it. Makes such a difference

I love the hot weather but we’re having to wear masks all day at work and in this heat it’s almost unbearable!

Much cooler day here, nice breeze coming in off the coast and rain forecast from 10pm onwards. The last few days were too hot for my liking.

It's the same here DM, very humid but cooling.
The sea air on the west coast is always freezing. I can't remember there ever being a nice wee warm breeze..its always a freezing Atlantic wind🤨

I can imagine that's the case up there Rogue. I'm in Minehead, Somerset so my coast is the Bristol Channel, a hell of a lot less exposed than the Atlantic.

That sounds nice mate.
Even the seagulls wear parka's on the Ayrshire Coast.

^ Having grown up and lived in and around Bristol for 50 plus years the urbanity, pace and volume of people and traffic became intolerable and we moved here just over a year ago. We live on the edge of town in a part that the tourists don't come to. Within ten minutes we can walk either into town in one direction or be in deep woods in another direction. The beach is about a twenty minute walk away. It's a fab place for dog (and human) walks.
The peace and quiet suits us and to be living by both the sea and Exmoor is amazing. Bristol is about ninety minutes away so no distance at all for seeing friends and going to gigs. I don't think I could go back to city living, it would do my head in.

I can understand all of that. Thanks dm999
So assuming it's just a place to live and a place to enjoy the local environment, and not a place where you have a network of friends or you participate in civic life?

^ Interesting question. I'd say that we've made a few 'acquaintances' since we've been here, the neighbours and locals are very friendly and welcoming but we're not really looking for new friends, although if any happen along all well and good. We're both still in regular touch with our old friends and meet up regularly.
As for civic life, Mrs 999 does a bit of volunteering for the national trust and we're both involved in local environment issues - beach cleaning mainly. Having retired last year we're both finding our feet and enjoying our new found freedom, we quite fancy seeing a bit more of the world so who knows where we'll end up next. Mainland Europe appeals greatly.

Very, very hot on Thursday, then incredible electric storms for most of the night. Foul weather this weekend.
