Been like a winter's day here in Scotland.
Blowing a gale and torrential rain, some incredible rain showers too. Mesmerising.

Scorchio
32c where I am sizzling
Pro tip - cold showers. I'm having three a day at the moment
Met Office say “severe thunderstorms” are likely early next week

22c and pleasant. When the weekend tourists have cleared, I'm having a countryside drive up to Whitby.

It was about 20C or 21C here today, which is warm by Isle of Man standards. Pleasant enough day – took the train down the east coast, then had lunch with friends at Douglas Yacht Club (not that I have any interest in yachting).

^Same hereabouts. It's the end of the annual "monsoon" season here, with the usual flooding, dangerous driving (more than usual, even), night time full of the sounds of toads and frogs singing and carrying on. The flooding tends to displace the local fauna and flora temporarily; snakes and monitor lizards looking for shelter and higher ground which can be alarming. The rain is tapering off a bit now thankfully. Looking forward to a holiday oop North (Lampang; Chiang Rai) next month.

Our Wet is just beginning. Only one big rain so far. Discovered a leak in the bedroom roof. Hope it's been fixed properly

Saw some oaf riding a pedal bike down the side of the A66 getting whipped senseless by lashes of rain coming in from the side just this morning, I wonder what he’s up to now...

Flipping cold innit?
Apparently....
Up to 15cm of snow is forecast in parts of the UK by New Year’s Eve after winter weather warnings were extended.
Most of Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England are now subject to a “be aware” warning for ice and snow issued by the Met Office for the next two days. On higher ground in areas of southern England from Cornwall to Kent and Essex as much as 15cm could fall, with 3-5cm more likely on lower ground.
