Scarborough coast doesn't get the heavy snowfall, it reaches York and fizzles out. Deliberating whether to close the shop if it gets too cold though. Forced heating is not good for the vinyl and the streets are pretty deserted at the moment.

Rain, rain, rain where I am. Which is fine, because otherwise it has been extremely hot

Those temperatures are only really applicable to the North in the glens.
Mind you it was -8 in the motor this morning but it does look rather nice 🤩

We've continued to have heaps of rain, which was fine until the roof over the bedroom sprung a leak. We've had the roofer in three times. Hope it's fixed now

Myself and Mrs RP were in Fife yesterday on a bus run(believe it or not)and we encountered some amazing haar all along the east coast.
Travelling over the new Forth Road Bridge(officially called the Queensferry Crossing)the iconic Forth Rail Bridge looked amazing in this creamy red glow enveloped in mist.
The low level mist swept inwards in Burntisland had patchy coverage. One minute it was there, the next it wasn't leading to the oddest atmosphere among the other day visitors along the promenade.
Unique.

I'm closing for a few days after Saturday. Though Scarborough beaches will be heaving, the town centre will be deserted. I wouldn't want to walk around with vinyl albums in 30 plus degree heat, so I wouldn't expect others to either.

Climate change denier bingo:
• It's not as hot as 1976! • Millennial crybabies are just upset that their avocados are over-ripening • I worked shirtless on a building site and that never did me any harm (apart from the skin cancer) • It's health and safety gone mad • Why won't woke weather forecasters give temperatures in proper "British" Fahrenheit? • Outside the M25 it is actually snowing

How did we keep cool back in 76?
Anyone remember?
Fab lollies in ya flares and chain smoking?

How did we keep cool back in 76? I was 15 and therefore immortal.
